What's with the ad needing an 880 and 1850 block? I know an 880 block is OK div 4, but an 1850? Or did that guy from Iowa (Drodge?) did his Oliver go down, too? Whatever the case, good luck!

The 880 block is for me. The 1850 block is for a friend that's building a farm stock puller. I'm trying to talk him out of it. I should weld them together, and try to come up with something to pull against that GVI!
Take Care, hope to see you this summer!

Hey Bigmotors, what is a realistic safe cube limit for the 265,283 and 310 gas engines? What bore and stroke combinations. A guy I know just got a 1755 gas and asked me to check on it.

4.375 X 5.375=485 cu.? works good, if your going to buzz it. 4.500 X 6.00/6.125 if you keep the rpm down. That will give you 572 to 585 cu. You are starting with a 4.375 crank with 7 mains, and a 12 port head with a 310 block. Which is nice compared to a 88 to 1650 block with a 4 inch crank and 4 mains. But- the 310 has a history of throwing rods threw the block. Which is why my friend needs a 1850 block. If you want more involved information give me a E-mail.
Thanks
