Roy I run a LP Distr. on my "GMax." because a LP distr. only fires twice per revolution were as a standard distr, fires four times,if you aare running a rich fuel mixture it will belch and carry on,you see the regular distr. is actually firing on the exhaust stroke which could cause some performance problems,I just didn't like to here all that burping and belching these two cylinders do. I like the smooth two cylinder sound,I broke a cam gear on my plow tractor,it belched at low rpm and kicked backward and broke all the webing in gear and dumped it in crankcase, and putting a new cam and gear in a "G" isn't a fun experience, hope this answers you question.
