Burton is on Highway 290 between Giddings and Brenham. There is a map at the Burton Cotton Gin Festival Web site that shows the streets and all. Look for the site on the net by just typing it in the search bar. I think the pull starts at high noon.

Red you're close, the driver's meeting it at 12:45 and the pull will begin at 1 PM. There is a parade through town that begins at 11 AM and a lot of the tractors go though it. Directions are on this link. Link

The rain date is going ot be at the end of June or the end of July. Dad wasnt much help after 10 hours of driving up there and back to watch the rain. PS he mentioned trying to have the Big Red Machine for our pull in Sept but I told him he was crazy. we would have to put the H on hold to get the big one ready and I want to finish the H because we are doing a new front end, hitch, deck plate, and we got some alumnium rims. I want it finished before we start on the pro because if we dont it will never get done. We wanted to put it back as a 1466 but with the latest stuff we had on it it is going to be easier to put it back as the 88 series model, it will still look good and blow plenty of black smoke, plusit will give the sled a chance to have changes made to it if the guys decide to do them. Later, Red

Was talking to a friend today in NE that just sold his Super.. but it building another for someone else.. but he will be the pilot... Just a little Ol 540 Super... Lastest and greatest on the Turbos... and a little mild on the pump.. until the chasis is setup right... I guess I didn't realize the problems they were having on the 580's and even some of the 540... I can't wait to see the Big Red Machine... but I sure like the older Metal on the Red machines... but what ever works...

I am getting dang nervous. Calling for rain Friday and Saturday at 40% each day. Can't get the hump out of the track b/c of the rain. It really sucks b/c we have a grader and everything. Gonna try and disc either Tuesday or Wednesday and open her up to dry. If everything holds out we should be able to lay it back down on Thursday. If we can get ahold of plastic, we'll be in good shape. I have done too much work for this pull and show to have it cancelled. Done too much work on my Super M not to run it.
