There are not many pulls in my area of WV and several of us would like to get together and try to have a few more. I have built a 300' clay track at the end of a field, but we are needing a sled. Does anyone have a set of plans we could borrow to assemble one?
Thanks for any help, Pat

This sled is legal to drive down highway. If interested or would like more information, just contact me at the above address or could send pictures.

Gary is right about that sled. I pulled it also in the 3000 class, it loads the tractors nice and smooth unlike some that kill you dead all of a sudden.

You can go to this site Http://members.aol.com/pullingtractor/
The web site is a Brian Miller site. You can e-mail him at pullingtractor@aol.com or call him at573-875-4033.

Maybe this is helpful. He says on the page he will build one rider or pullback.

The slickest working sled I've seen we pulled the
Saturday before Thanksgiving. It will handle tractors 25000 thru 12000 works very smooth. Two guys can operate it one at each end of the track,
I'm just over in Virginia so if you want more information give me an Email. And I'll ad no one has to ride the sled.

Know a tractor puller here in my area that has built a sled out of a mack truck, with a forward moving weight box on back, front wheels set over drag pan which extra weight can be applied to. Weight box has different ratio transmission for speed of travel of weight box, also has electronic measuring devices and electronic sounding horn when over speed limit & stop & go lights, reverse warning device. Driver on truck to back up sled.

If your in NC it's the same one that I pulled. It's ok but they have to steer it to follow the tractor. It's hard to know if they are being fair or not. The small tractors can't pull it. They have a sled they call Bambi that people step onto as it goes by. Thats what they use for the small tractors.

This sled is in SE Kansas and on this one the front end is on a skid pan and just about anything can pull it. He doesn't have enough weight yet to stop blown PU's & great big super MM tractors. This is a home-made sled & he carries his own scales to meets.
