I found a 300 in the weeds that I really don't need, but can be had cheap. Don't know what shape the engine is in yet, but I don't think I'll pass it up. Already have a 400 to restore. I think the 300 will be a good addition.

Here's why I'm posting here instead of the Farmall board.

How good a puller is the 300? I've been to 2 antique pulls and know very little about it. Looks fun and willing to learn. This one's been sitting for SEVERAL years and I'll probably have to work awhile just to get it to run. Any tips to pep it up a little as part of getting it running?

Thanks for any info.....

At our County Fair dead weight pull at which I chair & flag, an old fellow brings his 300 right off the hay baler & is tough to beat. He pulls 6000#.

Our club pulls stock tractors, no modifications. One of our pullers has a 300 Farmall. He does very well with it. He pulls 5600# and 6600# classes. He competes well with the Farmall M's, JD A's and Allis WD's.

i pull with a farmall 300 and do pretty well. does yours have a good ta. the ta can save you sometimes. you could be about dead and then you pull back on it and go another 50 feet. i have gotten a few 3rd place trophies with her.
