I RECENTLY HELPED MY FRIEND INSTALL A SET OF 4.310 DENNYS PISTONS IN A SUPER M. HE HAD A CAM GROUND FOR CU-IN AND RPM HE WOULD BE RUNNING. HE ALSO HAD HEAD SHAVED .010 INCH AND NEW VALVES, SEATS, AND GUIDES INSTALLED. WE PUT PETRONIX IGNITOR IN ALSO. PUT IT ON DYNO TODAY AND MAXED OUT POWER BY ADJUSTING TIMING AND CARB. THE TRACTOR ONLY HIT 58 HP IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WE ARE'NT GETTING THE 95+ HP THEY SAY IS THERE? ANY IDEAS OF GETTING CLOSER WOULD BE APPRIECIATED.

And you never will hit that number they advertise. these engines will make about 75 hp maxxed out, that is with a good cyl head, a carb built for the engine, and not a shelf carb,,, All these are is a big bore kit that he sells, not much for compression. thre are a few things to do, that will make a difference in the way it runs, but no where close to 95HP. 70-75, if you are lucky, and spend some more cash on it. if 95 is what you were shooting for, you better run this engine for a year, then sell it, build a small stroker to get that hp. wont be disapointed so much then. how much compression does this engine have?
