It was good to see all of you yesterday. Could not have had a nicer day to play on the track. Looks like all of the big MM are running well again. And there is a whole lot of farm stocks in the heavier classes!!! it is growing!! All of them looks very strong. I learned a lesson yesterday,, as I looked over the long lines, of tractors and drivers, after my 50 ft pull with my ultra light 460, that there is a whole lot of heavy farm stocks!! More than I have seen in a long time, a few seasons ago in the NCIATPA,, you seen alot of lighter tractors, (under 5000#) and they at one point, out numbered the heavy tractors. and, the lightweights were able to pull the sled a decent distance, before the sled changes were made. Now, since the growing number of heavier pullers, and all they can do is add weight to stop them, and as time went on, the light tractors got left behind. I noticed this last year, when the distances from last year dropped about 20ft from the year before, and the front ends got light, what worked in the past, aint working now, you can have all the HP in the world to pull the sled, but go out and pull 50 ft, and spin out because the tractor is just too light. Well OK, I am also aware that the Westville Mafia, wont be going back to the way it used to be, because, they are heavy pullers, and may not worry about us lightweights, and let it fade out wih time. Well, I want to tell all you NCIATPA pullers something about this. There will always be light tractor pullers that want to pull at a NCIATPA pull. They are pullers too, dont forget that fellas!! A few years ago, I pulled up to 6000 lbs with my H Farmalls, played with some of the big boys!! I bet DCTOM remebers GOSHEN IN in 2000, when I won 5501 to 6500 mods, and the 6501-7500 modified class against all those heavy pullers!!! A little Farmall H Named Something Wilder was ruling that day!! and the crowd loved it!!! Well, After pulling a few seasons, my achin back got tired of throwing 3500#+ on them to pull in these classes on 3 tractors i brought to each pull for 10 years straight. So I pulled light classes with them to keep me walking!! (Didnt have to handle all of the wieghts.LOL)Well fellas, I got home yesterday, frustrated, disgusted, and just like Budd said to me while unhooking the 460 from the sled, "You got alot of work to do!" Budd, you are right!! I got home, and I went hunting around here, and found all of my IH wheel weights, got em all rounded up, and the funny thing was, my back did not hurt one bit. So just like all those M's MM's, cases, with 10 ft of wheel weights hanging on the wheels. My H's will be the same. We are going to see where this goes, let evolution take its course, gonna pull heavy with ya!! Farmall H... Loaded for bear!!! I want to pull that sled down town, and if I have to be over 5000# with my H farmalls to do it, then alrighty then!! See ya all at Mentone pull! ChadS

Chads;

Are you telling me that you are going to pull your "farm stock" "H" in the 5000 & 5500? Oh boy bring it on the more red the better. LOL My "A" did so so in the 4500 and a little better in the 5000. 5500 I was real pleased. It is still not a first place tractor, but getting closer. I am pretty sure that I can not beat that old DC or the 44, but I feel pretty good that I will give you a run for the money (ALL IN FUN OF COURSE). See ya at Mentone. BUDD )'';''(

Went out and got all new weight bolts today for the "FarmStock" H, Yep, 5000, 5500lbs. I have to be that heavy Budd to make it past 50 ft!! I am thinking of 4 sets of wheel weights on each side,, will be at about 5200 with that much. Mentone is a power track Budd, Jim does a good job with track prep. And, maybe a trophy or 2 running around there,, Be ready!! Farmall H, Loaded for Bear!! ChadS

Wildman, No, I am not trying to kill it, I have to play the game they set up for the club. Either run with the "Big" tractors, or get humiliated. No one asked anyone, or told anyone, or at least told our team that they were doing this. This club is forgetting it's roots. But hey,, evolutuion carries on, and no one will stand up long enough to the Westville Mafia, to change it. They all went and built big HP molines, and they also had the sled in their possession over the winter, so they can set it up to whatever they wish, I admit, impressive,,, but hey again!!! What about the little guys?? what about all the time, and effort it took me, to get these H's that light? and to make it strong enough to compete. Well, I guess that means nothing to them, it is an attitude, that says to me, and all the light tractors, "you aint a heavy weight, so why worry about you?????!!!!" Well, the rules, and all the changes have been locked in for the year. So, I get to play with the big boys, with my little baby H's. Now, I have to put most of the heavy parts back on them, to stand up to the weight war they have started. Well, that is fine too. It will be fine for now,, and yes, i will give this a chance, when I start breaking it, well I dont wan that to happen, and I hope that what changes I made this last time, will hold up. I am sure it will, but they do break, and when it does,, who does it look bad on? Me. ChadS
