Setup for D-15

I pulled my D-15 last year in the 4500 stock class i had plenty of power but no ttraction really fast. I pulled in 1st gear should i putt all my weight and bump it up to 2nd gear? let me know what u think.

I have a WD45 6 cyl. Diesel. Had the same problem...I pull in Division 3 because my 18.4-26 tires forces me into this division. I pull 3rd gear in 4600 and 5100 (most tracks) and drop to second at 5600 and 6100. Only use 1st when the event requires all classes to be in 1st. Most of the additional weight needs to be just in front of the rear axle. Here in Texas we have some "Horsepower" pulls where you are grouped by original hp of the tractor without regard to exact weight or modifications. That matches me up with JD720's which weigh 2500 to 3000lbs more than me. I wax it up and only show at these. Good Luck
