First, dont rush building the carb, there is nothing quick about it,,, the procedure is quick, easy, and cost is probably less that 20 bucks. No, the jets are not the same in the 2 carbs you mentioned. There is many different sizes in all of the carbs they put on them. The biggest jet you will find is in thw W9 tractors, and the smallest will be a Super H. Then you can go up to the 06 series carbs, then the big metering stem, and the larger venturis can be used on the style of carb you have. OK,, All the work is done to the bowl of the carb, remove it, and dissasemble it. Remove the brass metering stem, and the main jet adjustment screw, and fitting on the carb bowl. Go to the hardware, (Take the carb bowl with ya) And go find the drill bits isle. Find the drill bit that fits the jet perfectly, then buy the bit that is about 5 sizes bigger than the jet. These bits, are a numbered drill bit,, FYI!!! Drill the main jet. Be careful!!, all you do is drill the brass insert for the jet, dont go too far into the carb bowl while drilling. Next, with the same drill bit, drill the bottom 2 holes on the metering stem, on the metering stem, along the sides of it, there is 3 sets of holes, (total of 6) that meters fuel from the jet,, and that controls how much fuel goes into the venturi. Just drill the bottom 2 holes. Clean the carb bowl well, and reasemble it. Setting the carb,, once it starts back up,, open the throttle up all the way, and back the adjustment out until it stutters, or loads up with too much fuel, simply, turn it back in till it starts to smooth out. Crack the throttle a few times,, see if it opens up, with out sputtering, or way too much smoke. If it does, turn it in just a bit more. Best way to set the carb is dyno tune it, but can be done at the track,, Hope this helps, ChadS
