Anyone have any suggestions or experience using sealer. I use Gold N Seal on other gskts. and it works well but I'm not sure about it for copper. This gskt. is being used on a DT466 IH engine. Thanks!

Hussey Copper made my gasket and they recomended Threebond 1104 for best results hard to get unless you want a case of it but I later found out that it is the same as Yamabond motorcycle case sealant hope that helps. But they also said Hylomar works also but the 1104 works better.

Yamabond seals real good but once its cured its a bugger to get back apart. Never used it on a gasket. Always metal to metal on crankcases. I use 1104 all the time on snowmobile engines and outboards. The local machine shop builds alot of drag engines and late model stock car engines and hylomar is what they use. Now you got me thinking which one am I going to use on mine?
