ARE YOU PULLING A SMTA !!
I HAD SONNY DO MY CAM, 2 YEARS AGO !!! At that time i did not pay attention to casting numbers, the cam has a number on it !!!i have been told to run a (450)cam. gas or propane the same!!!
sonny is a heck of a nice individual to talk to!
i don't know cam lingo but my stock cam was
196 intake 188exhaust he changed that to 209-209
i see the car guys are going back to a split ratio again !! next time i'm going to try barrys cam 320-395-2377 sonnys service was good, but because of other problems it didn't do much for the tractor. took off an 8060d head that was busted and installed (after a $450 port job) a 8777d low compression head !!! what a joke !! my fault. if it looks good it's got to be good ! (wrong) pay attention to the casting number, on your head . as your siiting on the tractor the number is on top of the head under valve cover on front rite side !! nee to run a 400-450 gas head. lees money than propane !! also have a good valve job done. got jacked there to !! make sure contact between valve and seat is not to wide !!! should be about 60thds. clean up intake and exhaust runners !! don't hog them out on a small to mid-range ci motor !!!
just my 2cents worth from past expensive mistakes !!!
i have found upon disassembly, that many part's have been changed because of wear !!! usually never for the better !!!
bud barenie !
