I am building a low buck puller and was wondering if it will make a noticable change in horsepower if I put late styled M&W pistons in my early styled "A" with a heisler head. And if I will have to have any machining done to make it work. Will this give me too much compression? Thanks to all who reply . Jim

ya, it should make a difference the pistons part, but I don't hardly know what the "heisler" head will do if any.

In my experience, stay 150-185 lbs. cranking speed. 200+ seems to fight against you, and won't have that good JD lug. Just an opinion.

Jim V. the high compression sounds impressive but I got a "G" eat up with compression and my plow tractor out pulls it. Cubic inches and rpm's is the name of the game for power. A mild stroke and large valves and big exhaust will go along way. Gman

not really. High compression is working against itself most of the time, but it also depends on how much compression is HIGH compression to you.
