My friend recently bought an H. He was wondering how much it weighs roughly. It is all stock with a narrow front end.I think it is a 1948. What pulling class would he be in? Thanks, Dennis.

I have a 1948 H and it weights 4300lbs. with two 150 wheel weights, and 10 gallons of gas. It will do good in the 4500lbs. class, but if you go to the higher classes, your better off to get a M.

My 1947 H wt. is 3900# 500# and my self fits in the 4600# class fine. I see no esey way to get into 3600# class. On soft track with slippage I do fine but hard tracks am beat by larger h.p. tractors. I run 13.6 x 38 tires, some think I would not power out with stander size tires. Motor overhauled but nothing extra. Was tould I could not win with a H but their not saying that very loud now that I won 3rd in my wt. class for the year. Good Luck

We have had a couple of people in our area get away from the wheel issue by using cutdown wheels from a F14 ( I think ) they have a wavy center that is steel (not cast iron) with flat spokes and just like the M guy's remove the hydraulic pump and belt pulley gear box if the tractor is equipped with them, put somebody light in the seat and make the 3500 lb. class
