Next year if you will agree to stay away from Denton a group of us pullers will buy some trophies and send them to you. Lighten up and give someone else a chance. BTW, we believe some of you heavy hitters out of Monroe are illegal, we just can't find it.

Stay away from Denton? Hmmm, let me see... If you'll find me an air conditioned pull somewhere in a 75 mile radius I'll give it some deep consideration.

As for being a "Heavy Hitter", it's just a old stock 248 CID M Farmall with 37-38 horsepower. LW thinks if I switch from kerosene to gas I can squeeze out 40 but somebody would protest it. Think I'd rather leave it all original.

Flogger, I've been to denton probably 10 years in a row as a spectator and finally took my tractor a couple of years ago and it was obvious if you weren't with OTTPA or whatever the heck it is they will pick you to death til they find something. It's amazing how they say random class rpm checks and the only people they checked were people that didn't pull with them normally. In 10 years I never saw them check that girl with all those olivers. Yes her and her husband are both nice, but..... .

Hey Dave,

OTTPA has been pretty square with me. EVERY puller gets there weight and hitch height checked. The secret to that is don't be over. OTTPA also picks 2 classes at every pull to check RPMS on. I think Sunday makes 5 or 6 times this year I've been checked, and been right. July 4th they were also checking hitch length. I understand some pullers from another club had hitches shorter than the 24'' min and were DQed. OTTPA has a great website that also lists the rules. Check it out, {ottpainc.com} and come give OTTPA another try.

Hey, I didn't mean to talk bad about your club. I was just saying it looked like they were hard on the people that JUST go to Denton that are from somewhere else. Maybe I'm wrong. They do seem organized. Also, I went to a pull above Charlotte at someone's Farm and Humphrey showed up with that 560 and they woulnd't let him hook. I know that thing is more of a super farm or something, but he came a long way not to hook. I've met LW at denton before and look forward to meeting you all!

Dave I remember a few years ago at the Rocking K Ranch which is near Charlotte, there was a hot 560 from Georgia. Seems like it had a solid white hood. I know he did hook at least once and it sounded like he was turning 4-5000 rpm. The max rpm for supers is 2500. I think maybe they did ask him to load it up.

Yea that's the place. I was there. I did't see him hook, I just saw him load it up and leave. That's Jason Humphrey. It is painted up like a demonstrator. They have 2 of them 1 gas and 1 diesel. They pull with us some. We don't have any RPM rules. All they ask is if you turn it hard a blanket is recommended. Our pull is great if you want to turn it loose or experiment.

Dave, I think the major problem is that "some" pullers from other clubs are not expected to abide by their rules and they think that they can do the same with OTTPA. Some clubs has an unspoked rule that says no rules are enforced. OTTPA checks and goes by their rules. OTTPA encourage other pullers to come play with them and they expect everyone to play fair.

Thats not true,I pull with them and other groups in N.C. and I was checked at denton friday night and so was Ms.Patsy, and have been to other pulls when are class got drawn, To further let it be known there have been several times when the 7200lb super was checked and the only tractors that passed the rpm's were my G,her99, and Mike Wards deere. They didn't check every kill switch this year like they have in the past which was very suprising.

SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD TIME WAS HAD AT DENTON. PULLERS WHO PULL WITH OUTSIDE CLUBS NEED TO CHECK RULES OF CLUB THIER GOING TO PULL WITH. OOTPA IS NOT PERFECT , BUT IN MY MIND THEY ARE ABOUT AS STRAIGHT UP AS IT GETS,AND THE PEOPLE THAT PULL ARE THE BEST VERY COMPETATIVE BUT WILL HELP IN ANYWAY THEY CAN. PS- CAN'T WAIT TO SEE OLD FRIENDS IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS.
