For all the folks who are coming to the Missouri State Fair Antique Tractor Pull on August 18, there have been some minor changes in the scheduling of the different classes. We have had quite an increase in numbers the last few years and because of this sometime people find that the two classes they can pull have been pulling at the same time which can cause quite a bit of confusion for everyone. To try to eliminate this problem (and to make a better show for the crowd) we are going to try something new this year. Instead of moving right up the line with the weight classes we are going to go to an "every other class" schedule. For example, instead of going from a 2750 to a 3250 class we will skip one class in the morning and the skipped class will then pull in the evening session. This will also allow the crowd to see more different tractors than the same ones all the time. We are doing this to try to alleviate problems and speed up the pull. All pullers should be prepared to pull at any time of the day and not assume they will pull at approximately the same time as in the past because it will likely not be that way. Please get the word around of this change. If you have any questions feel free to get in contact with any of the folks on the sheet you received in the mail, including myself. Thank you. Mike

I understand your problem. Last year I pulled 5500 and 6500 within 5 minutes of each other. But, it is nice to know about when you are going to pull so you can go check out the fair.I'm in favor of leaving it like it was.
Thanks, Wendel

It appears that the above decision is not "in stone" as of yet. We are trying to come to a solution that will make the pull go smoother. Let me know here if you have any suggestions to improve the antique pull at the Missouri State Fair. Mike

The group I pull with (MATPA in Mid-Missouri) tried the same idea with skipping every other class this year. I like the idea of showing the crowd a bigger variety of tractors, but many of the pullers in the organization DID NOT like that pulling order and we switched back to going light-heavy. Just my $0.02
