Will the porting on the cylinder head and intake manifold on a 4010 diesel give you the same horsepower gains as on the gas 4010 engine?

Not by itself. Diesels only take in air, not an air-fuel mix like spark ignition engines. You'd also have to increase the fuel delivery of the injection pump to see an increase in power, unless it's already overfueled and smoking excessively, in which case simply adding some more air would maybe add some power. Are you still running the oil-bath air cleaner? That's a major intake restriction right there. It doesn't matter how much air the head can deliver if everything upstream is restricting it.

Yes it still has the oil bath in it, what do you recommend, puttin an paper filter in like a K&N filter. How do I give it more fuel? Is it with the trimmer screw using the allen wrench? Any help would be appreciated as I am new to the diesels and will need to learn a lot in a hurry.

You'd be best off to learn by going to pulls and finding guys that pull tractors similar to yours, and whose tractors perform the way you want yours to. Just jumping in an twisting screws isn't the way to go. If your tractor has a Stanadyne pump on it, you'll probably have to pull the shut-off housing and go inside and adjust the screw on the leaf spring, which sets the roller-to-roller dimension and fuel delivery. I could be wrong on that, because my Roosa-Master days are long ago, but I just turned down a 4620 the other day and that's what it took. None of the easily accessible screws will change delivery. Like I said, get with some guys that know what they're doing and learn from them. As far as the air filters go, you could mount a dry element up in front of the radiator or come out the side with an adapter and use a round automotive air-filter housing or K&N unit. I've seen it done both ways. Just make sure it's sealed well and doesn't let dirt in.

How much horsepower is possible just by turning up the pump? It has the 4020 kit in it. Would eventually like to reach the 175-180 horsepower range with the addition of a turbo like several others in our area. I don't use the tractor for farming, it will just be used for farm tractorpulling.

With a solid stock motor and no turbo? Possibly 110-120 horsepower before getting into an overfueling situation with excessive smoke. Maybe a little more or less depending on your altitude and climate conditions.
