I am looking for a good rearend to put under my modified tractor. I know and have heard that farmall made good rearends that would take punishment, but I just wanted some other opinions. Thanks

If it's gotta be from a tractor, a M Farmall or 44 Massey rear end is good. I recommend a 40 or 50 Cockshutt though as they were the heaviest built and known to stand up to 1500+ horsepower.

Up in MN and ND they are not to hard to find. Try posting on the Oliver and Cockshutt forum. Some of the guys over in NY state might have something.

Like Shutt30 said they're pretty common up there. They were Canadian made so the farther North you go generally the more you find them.

Solid axle final drive out of a front end loader or earth mover.
