How hard is it to get a H to 3500 lbs? See lots of them in the 4500 but not many in the 3500. How much does the switch to pressed steel rears help. The stock rear centers don't look like they are real heavy. Thanks

I'm actually heavier than the rest of you, but it will give you an idea. Mine weighs 3980 with
me and 200lbs. I still have cast on the rear with
13.6 x 38's, the front has the steel wheel center
with rubber, PTO, head lights and the cast belly
pump block off.

Those centers might not look heavy, but try to lift them. They are extremely heavy. There is a big difference in going to pressed steel. Also, pull the belly pump, all hydralics, and pto. I run 15.5 x 38 Firestone F&R and weight about 3350# with me on it.

Weld on hubs, Adapt a Super C front pedistal, Pressed steel rims on all 4 corners, remove the light bar, a lighter seat frame, Aluminum steering shaft, Some have used W4 rear axles, not a big loss in weight, but a loss. You can lighten up the tranny top plate, and remove some cast off the front bolster and get to 3000 pretty easy. H's are harder to lighten up when they get down below 3400, I can still lose a bit more weight, but I am 3250 on mine, no weights, 5 gal gas, and 1000 amp battery, 60lb front weight bracket. ChadS

Well, I'm at 3150 bare with 2 gallons of gas, and no weight, and a big battery. No pump, aluminum trans plate, single front off a B, weld on hubs, cut off axles, big heavy hitch, no pto, rest it stock. It'll see about 3000 this winter...But I have found that my front end it too light....you can always add weight..... .
