Well, for next pulling sesson, we were thinking about making a stock 630. It would have deep treads. Do you think it would be worth it???

THANKS!!!

A good-running 630 ought to be pretty competitive. I believe they had the creeper first gear, did they not? That will allow you to pull in some pretty heavy classes without running out of power, so getting it light shouldn't be much of an issue. And if you do want to go light, it's easier to put tin wheels and hubs on a rack-and-pinion axle than it is on a splined axle. I'd say go for it, because you don't see too many late-model Deere two-cylinder pullers.

I would be more fun to put the G back together. Then you could sell me the Deep Treads.... LOL The 630 will be heavy unless you can get rid of the cast wheels.

Shouldn't be over 6,000 with the cast wheels on it. Did they make any 9 hole hubs for 630's??? How'd you do in Fort Scott??? We got tired and left early. Not much show to see. Well, any more pulls this year??? If so e-mail us, so talk to ya later. Rodent, and Family!

my 630 with cast wheels weighs 7160. I pull it in 8500 dead weight classes just above an idle. I wish I had a set of deep treads for it.
