Just wandering what the lightest class anyone has been able to make with a 450 Farmall. It seems that the lighter that I can get it the better it pulls. I don't really want to strip it now but once I get my Grandpa's 550 oliver bought than I probably will start stripping the 450, like the hydraulics, belt pulley, and possibly I even heard that you can remove your TA...just wandering...Thanks...-Scoob

Just bought a 450. It has regular drawbar, no power steering, no belt pulley, and 15.5-38 armstrongs on stock wheels. Pulled it at a local pull yesterday and it weighed 5500 with no driver. So i guess with a set of pressed wheels and stripping the hydraulics i could make 5500 weight class.

we make 6000 with a toplink in place of the fasthitch cylinder and power steering off w/ 15.5 tires easy. depending on the scales sometimes we dont have to take the power steering off.
