The stock bore on a U is 4 1/4", you can go to 4 3/8+60 in the stock jugs. The 5.5 and up is also rite, but you have to open them up then weld sleeves in. Or I have some new casting that are made to put press in sleeves in. Glenn

4.81 boring out the U jugs. larger than that requires boring them out all together and putting in a new liner or going to the 800 jugs. 4.81 X 6 or 6 and 1/8 is a very cost effective way to get 400 plus cubes.

MM built 810 cubic inch engines, most were power units, pumps, marine etc a few were in limited run G1000's specifically built to help the MM SS pullers. To make a long story short the jugs and heads that go with them are terrific so much so that even though they were manufactured during the right yearsand are a bolt on swap, most organizations do not allow them to be used. They are very good if you can run em. There are a couple U's around here with them and they are tough. Art

They work good but there is more expense in putting the sleeves in and altering the crank to line up with the big pistons. aRt
