Is anyone welding(furnace welding/brazing)liners into farmall blocks? With the big bore motors the original cylinders are all but completely bored out of the block and I am concerned about tying the main supports to the deck inorder to keep the motor together. With a big stroke(7.5 or larger) and a big bore(4 11/16 or larger) it seems every block I've seen a sleeve is pressed in and the block is filled with cement. Down the road the block either cracks on the deck or around the cam journals or the center main cracks or walks and takes out the crank. I have heard of some welding the liners in and the block in order to tye everything together and the block lives well. Or am I just crazy and hear absurd rumors and see things in blocks that aren't really related?
