I was just wanting to find out about what everyone thinks about the 12mph rule in the modified classes I think they should at least have one class with no mph rule

Fitzgerald's has received many complaints I hear from pullers regarding rule changes! Heard they were not happy answering all the calls from unhappy pullers!!

Do you think the complaints are more than 730? That's the number of rooms they have booked from pullers. So go somewhere else with your bologna!!

Probably stoped by what they wanted to pay for insurance, If you want to run them fast somebody will insure them!

I've been to Tunica a few times and I haven't seen a JD that could hang in the wide open classes, could that be the reason for the 12mph stamp? No, come on, the reason is, there is a bunch of grumpy ole men who deep down inside, hate to see anything but a rattling JD hook to the sled. Much less make some noise and throw some dirt! Turn them Johnnys loose and lift the 12 mph sanctions! I hear next year, they are going to run nothing but JD? I wonder if the pull will be another cheatfest this year? We'll see ya'll there!

Jeff B,
True. Few JDs can hang in a wide open class. At least the one's pulling in antique events. Any JD puller will admit to that and also tell you that he pulls better in a 4mph class. Not 12mph nor even 8mph.

That being said if one checks the classes and speeds (excluding the Farmstock II classes) he will see there are a total of nine events with 8 and 12mph speeds verses six events at 4mph.

It hardly seems that we are catering to John Deeres when there are 50% more pulls that favor the higher speed, higher RPM tractors.

Two more days...Spotter

KBMO,
Appreciate your comments and will see ya'll there. Oh, I don't really argue (so to speak). Just like to point out the facts when someone says, "I heard" or "I hear". Plus, I'm one of those "grumpy old men", so I feel compelled to "grump"...LOL...Spotter

I don't have anything that will hang in the 12 mph class and maybe not even in the 8 mph class, but I'm sure looking forward to this being my first time to pull at Tunica. You guys should know the rules are always influenced by color preference of those in charge. It always is. I guarantee you can read the rules of most clubs and/or associations and tell what brand(s) of tractor the rules committee prefers. Just accept it and pull. I'm not saying keep your opinion to yourself. I'd like to see a true "wide open" class also, but let's keep our comments civil. It's the best pull I'll get to go to and probably one of the best for all of us. If you don't like the rules, just go somewhere else. Let's just have fun. I'll bet you won't be gripin' if you win your class.

I know your tractor. It should be a pretty tight tract. That old Mississippi Gumbo bites good. I'll look you up....Spotter
