The all traction field & road will have a cupple more lugs then the field & roads. We have 16-9-38's on our tractor we us on the farm and the field & roads are narrower and rounder then the ATF&R. If it was my choice I would by the ATF&R alot better tire.

I disagree with both gentlemen we have field and roads on our f-20,MD,super m,all pullers and we run around 18 pounds in them and they do great! I wouldn't trade them for anything.

I've had real good luck with my 18.4X38 Goodrich 8 ply tires on 18" rims. Run around 5 pounds of pressure, and leaves a nice flat bottom track. 5500, 6000, and 6500 pound classes

I have great luck using 4" angled lugs on steel wheels. Try them!

18 lbs. is about what I would run in the 7500 lb. class with 18.4s on. In 5500 with 16.9s I run 14-16. It's different for everybody though depending on track and how hard the sled pulls you down. The harder it pulls down, the more air you need. Just make sure when you spin out that it leaves a flat area where it dug and not one where the sidewalls dug deeper than the center of the tire. Also don't want the tire to squat because you lose drawbar height.

how come some people have there tires squating like no other, and do good (3-5)most of the times? My Grandpa pulled our "G" with 24 pounds in it one time and got smoked and wondered why. they gotta be running under 10pounds!!! 12 is were we thought should be right, but we pull a "G", an "A", and an "AO", all deeres. What should be right for it?
thanks,
John

Bill, I agree with the "other" Mike about the ATF&R's being a better tire. The main advantage a regular Field and Road tire has is it's weight if that is a problem for you. The F&R has a rounder tread than the All Traction (about an inch in sidewall height shorter) and also will have a narrower tread size for size than the ATF&R. If you are not concerned about a few extra pounds I would go with the better tire. Mike

super all tracs will genneraly outpull F&R s but they make a good second choice. I have a set of F&R on both my G pullers
