Wanting to build a BIG BAD 70 John Deere. Anyone have suggestions on what to do to the motor.

Hey Matt I gotta lot of 70 parts including a power block with new 7" pistons, big head lots of good parts. I also have a whole 70 set up for a 9.5 crank. Wieght brackets and all I believe right around 740ci.

It's tough to make an engine built to run on low grade oil fuels. And make them run like a "built" automotive style engine in DIV IV or V. It's as much or more fun to take a stocker just putting along the track in low gear. And into the top three winning places. It's all traction/tires, weight balance and hitch leverage. No amount of HP will win until those factors are correct. Plus it's great fun to out pull the souped tractors in the stock class with a real stocker .

Well you said big & bad:

7.5 bore
9.5" and up stroke
headwork, carb work, ignition work.
Then you should be there
