Put the biggest tire you are allowed and then build the horses to turn it. I have a farmall H in the 3500-5000 classes in Div 3 and 4 here in texas and we do pretty good. Pull 4th gear in light 2 classes and 3rd then 2nd in the heavy, we have 18.4x38 and rarely if ever loose power, when you spin out, go up a gear and go faster. there is a reason Super stock and Pro stock pullers run 30.5 and 24.5 tires and not 18.4 or 16.9 am I right?
