I wacthed a class at MO. state fair a couple of years ago. They ran a 6500 prostock class and looked like most of the tractors ran on gas.If they did how hard is it to set up a engine for it. This is something I would be interested in doing with my cockshutt 40.Seems like it would be cheaper than boring and stroking a engine . Hardest part would be airflow and carburation.

The biggest challenge would be building an aesthetically pleasing & functional pressure box for the carb. If the motor is 'tired', you shouldn't have any over-compression issues, just be certain that you govern top RPM's to coincide with the low-spec rotating assembly. Cam would definately help, especially if you could nail down the turbo performance facts / engine fact for the regrind. Knew a guy that had a Moline 'UB' w/ a David Brown turbo unit that peaked at approx. 80 dyno hp w/ nothing other than a little head porting that he did himself. Stupid fool even used his old head gasket, as he didn't want to spend a dime on it!
