I hope he isn't running his 'M' that fast with the stock cast iron flywheel! Those things make a huge mess when they scatter. Plus, if a piece of it would happen to hit someone.....

It would help get to 3000 rpm faster,,, it helps throttle responce. the distributor is more sensitive to rpm changes, therefore, changes rpms at a faster rate. He should rejet the carb to run 3000 rpm, and try a governor spring that will make that rpm, VS a plate, or wire tied spring. ChadS

I don't know which one to go with, and I don't know what is in there for a gov. Which spring should I go with in my distributer, the lightest one or the heaviest?....getting snow?....AC

AC, go with the second set. No snow,, just alot of flooding, and then it all froze so we got ice and flooding everywhere. Last nite it froze up my starter on my truck cause all the water on the roads to get to home. ChadS
