I pull a Super C in 2850 and 3350 classes. I didn't stroke the engine but did bore it to 3 & 9/16". It pulls good in 2850 in 2nd gear and 3350 in 1st gear. The real key is tires and hitch setup. Hope this helps.

First thing I would do is turn the bolt on top of the governor out a few turns for more rpms, then and air filter and maybe swap transmission gears for a 240 set they will slide right in and be 1/3 slower. As for classes with some work you could actually be competetive up to around 5000 but starting out run as low as you can to see what you have or run higher gears in lower classes where you can dominate. I read of a C or a SC that was farm use but set up good (engine work) and it was in a pull where in spun out in 2nd place at 5500lbs but just watch how you place your weights on my IH 240 I run a belly bracket, one behind the seat and one on the front, all i can say is try to use wheel weights and have fun they are a good tractor
