This is probably a simple question but I dont know the answer. Do I need anything special to mount a .450 roosamaster pump to my 1206? Is it as simple as pulling the old pump out and putting the .450 in? Or is there a adapter plate I need and different drive gears?

Also how many cc's is a .450 good for? And do most of them come with external fuel screws so I can turn it up and down?

One more question. How big is the tip on the stock injector? I am thinking of getting them lazered out but I dont know what to go to for size. (it will have the .450 pump with .093 lines)

Thanks for any help.

The head and rotor of the pump is all you will have to worry about as it will fit right in the
1206's pump housing. Providing the current pump is a Roosa. Hopefully it's not a IH rd pump, but I don't think they ever put those on 1206's. Anyhow, the rest of the 1206 pump can be used.
You will want a good shop to do this and set it up for pulling. There are no external fuel screws for these. The screw that everyone thinks is the fuel screw is actually the torque screw. I guess you could turn the upper end fuel down, but when the engine pulls down the fuel is going to increase and try to bring the engine back to where the throttle was set. ( actually where the main fuel
screw inside the pump is set.) I think that the stock nozzle tip holes are around .010 or .011 in diameter. There are 4 of them. As far as lasering talk to someone that has done this before. You could go probably .030
or larger, but I'm only guessing. As far as fuel out put it could be well north of 300cc's. Large lines and injectors will "fool" the pump into thinking its putting out more. Of course this will all depend on your engine setup. Work with people that have down this before as it will make the end result that much better for you.
