Have you put big petcocks in it? If so, try starting it with them not quite all the way open. They sometimes are a pain to start w/ big petcock all the way open.

It has a Power Block with the big petcocks in the front of the block though a stud. It starts real easily when cold. Would being hot or cold make a difference with the size petcocks. Thanks for all information.

Sounds like we have simular setups. The big petcocks can let out too much compression. I dont know if tempature would make that big of a difference. If you have a second person with you when you are starting it, get it rolling over and then have someone shut the petcocks. Just be careful that it doesn't kick back. Usually the MSD box makes it start MUCH easier.
