Chad I am pulling a Farmall M with a stock 3 7/8 motor with ignition, carb and minor intake work. I was wondering what would be the best fuel to run. My brother has a crazy fast Z400 and runs VP racing fuel and there is a noticable difference between it and pumpgas. It is blue and has the sweetest smell in the tank. Besides having a super high octane does it add any power? Also i am in central Indiana so any good dealers for the recomended gas. I would also like to start some inards work next winter and you seem to be the only non-idiot engine builder around. (Denny's) Ha Ha Ha

The addresses above pretty much explain it all, id stick with 94, nothing fancy, youd just be paying more $$ for fuel that dont really do much in stock engines. If I had to choose a VP fuel, it would be C-16. Not C-12. C-12 wont pass the fuel test for specific gravity, C-16 just barely does. Read those post addresses, easiest way to read them quicker is to go up to your address bar on your computer, put the cursor behind the number, and just change the number, instead of typing all the address in. Hope this helps,, ChadS

Whats the specific gravity of pump gas 87-93 octane?NATPA states a maximum of 750 specific gravity, just curious on numbers between pump gas and race fuel(110 mon),whats legal and whats not.I generally use c14 in my olivers, but used some vp-110 and was pleased with it,I didn"t think it would work(not enough octane to prevent pre ignition)but it seemed to work great, good product in my opinion.Later Rich

C-12 will pass a NATPA fuel check. The specific gravity of C-12 is .717 @ 60*F. C-16 is .735 @ 60*F
