Bear's 460 sure put on a heck of a show! (haha) The CASE that won is relishing it as he only has about 2 places he can pull all year.

I AM JUST A FARM STOCK PULLER ,BUT I WAS SURE DISAPPOINTED IN THE BILL BAER TRACTOR, I BELIEVE WE ALL PULLED OUR DOWN ONCE OR TWICE BUT NOT THE SAME DAY AT THE SAME PULL, BUT 3 OUT OF 3 TIME,I HEARD A LOT OF STORIES ABOUT HOW MEAN THIS TRACTOR IS AND HOW GOOD IT PULLS ,FRUITLAND CHANGED MY OPINION, AS I RETURED HOME AND READ THE HOOK MAGAZINE I SEEM WHERE MR BAERS TRACTOR IS NOY AS MEAN AS I THOUGHT AND HEARD

Maybe you should build a 460 with less than 600 cubic inches and see how well you compete with tractors that have over 1000 cid.I'm sure you'd spank those Cases all the time.Maybe even beat up on the 1500 cid GVI's too.

The 600 case that won the 5500 and 6000 classes has a cummins engine in it. No where near 1000 cid.The only place he can pull it is in a outlaw or wide open class. This was not Morris Massey tractor

You mean use the wrong block, make it 700 plus cubes, custom-fabricate-chop-weld-grind-weld some more a cylinder head together, get the board to say it's legal, get yourself about an extra 1000 rpms voted into the rules for your model, then still not make it run good?? that sounds like a lot of work for nothing!

Why complain about his, when I'm sure YOU could put one together using J-B weld and baler twine that would out run all the Cases and MM's.Bet ya wouldn't do that-then people would know who you are.Maybe you could put another person on the seat to drive it.Then you wouldn't have to take credit for that-either.Then you would be even more of an observer.'Course that would be an awfull lot of work-for nothing.

You folks never cease to amaze me.For the life of me I can not understand what would motovate a person to write the kind of bull that you folks write and remain annonamous about it.You're probably the same ones who were so critical of Tomac's 3500# M years ago,or the two McCormick's that Jim Hudson put together,or all of the Olivers that Lawrence Gingrich has done over the years,or the Farmall's and Fords Paul Marlett has put together,or the snide remarks about Gary Baker, and the list goes on and on.I guess jealousy would be the only realistic factor that I can come up with for the stupid remarks.I am very thankfull for all of these men,as they are innovators, not couch potato's,and it's foreward thinking men like these that have historically made our country what it is today. These innovators are the reason that our country is free, and technologically superior to all others. And to clear things up,I was never in favor of the RPM's that the 460's were allowed to run,or if I were ever asked about block or head selection,I would have given that a thumbs down also. But I am indirectly responsible,as I have voted for each and every one of our board members. They have made mistakes, and they have learned and are continueing to learn from them.As far as loyality's go,I am loyal to the NATPA,as well MMOGTA,COTPA,USAP,Clintnia Club, and any and all groups or organizations that will go through all of the hassles and jump through all the hoop's necessary to provide a place for our antique iron to pull.As soon as I get my tractor put back together and ChadS E-mails me back I intend to make at least one USAP pull.We have already made plans to go to Tunica next year.So ya' see folks,it's never my intention to show any favoritism to any club or organization,I am simply trying to show you guys how others percieve YOU when you attempt to belittle others. Once again, keep on typing, the rest of us will keep on laughing, although I assure you it is not with you! To reinterate:My name is Marty,I live in Michigan, and my E-mail is always open. P.S.ChadS,are you going to take me up on my offer?

Marty, as for your support of tractor clubs, I have to ask, how many times did you pull dead weight at Hubbardston last year after you showed up to vote in cut tires there? Let's not throw stones from a glass tower. Ken

Ken, I apologise for not making it up to Hub.Now that I am in charge of maintence,I am putting in 100+ hours/week.I only made it to 4 pulls all summer long,3 at Fowler,1 at Oakley.I guess when flyers were sent to all club members informing them of a meeting,I wasn't aware that it meant that one absolutely had to attend all pulls,or even one for that matter. If my schedule allows,I will be sure to attend at least one this year.I certainly don't want to be accused of being a stone thrower-even if I could afford a glass tower.Hope to see you up there this summer.I promise not to pick up even one rock-unless it's on the track.I'll be sure to gently carry it out of the way so that I may have a slim chance of beating you. Marty
