how much wieght can you lose flat-backing a G? My G wieghs about 6200 w/ me on it. Can I make 5500# class? I have 20.8 34s on tin wheels. Also how about losing the roll-o-matic front and going to older narrow front w/ only one wheel/hub on it. I don't think I can make it w/ my large butt in the seat

WEll first of all you need to pull your radiator out and put a small one in. And after that try 1-800- 95 JENNY. And then get back with me. And if that dont work the slim fast diet works to.

i agree, Mike has been gettin pretty fat lately. If he really wants to get down to 5500 he needs to get off his fat old lady and and get a real work out.

I've known Joe for quite a while,he couldn't be that rude if he tried. If you are gonna post something as childish as this at least grow a set of balls to post it under your own name

Hey Mike if you need help let me know, I will give as much as I can.Trying to figure out how I can get my cockshutt down in the 5000 with the wide front. As far running the 24.5 you will gain about 800lbs and be pushing to get in the 6500.

thanks for all your input!I have walked around this tractor and the lightest I think I can get the 48G is 5500# w/o me. I do think I can get my 45 GM down to 5300 unless them 24.5 32s are heavier than I think. Been told I can't spin them 24.5s but everyone said the same about my 20.8's, did it.

My G has aluminum back, no roll-o-matic, 16.9s on 16" rims, and a little of the axles have been cut off and hubs welded on. Any other non-essential stuff has been removed. I weigh 200 lbs. and have about 390 lbs. of moveable weight in the 5500 lb. class. My 16" rims are heavy, I gained about 100 lbs. when I went to them from 14" rims.

like Justin said.. the front wheels are heavier than they look.. My 16in wheels with 6.00's wieghted 47lbs each.. my 15's weighed 27lbs each... If you have a split front.. look for a MT/40/420/430 lower pedistal.. you will have to make the bolt holes bigger, and drill a hole for the line-up pin.. but it's good for another 55lbs (compared to a stock lower front without rollomatic) Just remember.. U are taking the weight off the front of the tractor... that makes it light for pulling.. and loading..

Mine makes the 5500 with 16.9,s and 7.50-16,s on the front. No power trol box or air cleaner. Front weight bracket only. No roll-o-matic and very little rear end grease. Sometimes I may be about 20lbs heavy. Someone about 100lbs lighter wouldn,t have any problem. I have a new alum flatback and seatbox to put on but will lose my PTO.

Where did you get your alum flat back from? I have been looking for one for a B and have had no luck.

5500, will take a little work with the 20.8's.. I have 18.4x 38's and I can just get into the 5500lb class.. Flat back, all the stock air cleaner removed, no rollomatic, and 15in tires.. and it will be close.. If you have a split front pedistal, you might have to go to a different lower.. I would guess with the 20.8.. U will still be just a little over.. but very close... JDGnut
