Anybody attend the SATPA rules meeting in Buford SC last night? Bout needed to roll up my britches legs. Might be interested in trading a nice strong 264 farmall motor for a fully "documented" 3 cyl Detroit to go on my M. They're legal you know... The Detroit that is...

I have a question. If Darrell knew that one puller who won 2 points championships last year was illegal all year long, why did he not do something? You can bet your sweet behind that he was not competing against one of the "home track" tractors.

Hey guys! I saw this dictatorship coming 4 years ago at Quincy's. There are some things that even Ray Charles can see. However the sled is Darrell's and the track is Darrell's so he can make any biased rule he wants to so his tractors will win. I will not go and carry small children decause of his foul mouth. Have you ever seen someone shoot themselvs in the foot? Can you say boycott?

I was there. I agree, if you can put a Detroit in a M and it be legal for stock, then it shouldn't matter if 248,264, or 281 is on the block. Any of them could qualify as a 'dealer re-power'. I thought the whole reason behind the discussion was to have the correct engine in a tractor that came from the FACTORY. Apparently Darryl got to thinking about that and decided to change to arguement so the Mule would be legal. I turned down a W9 with Detroit kit in it b/c it wasn't the motor that came in the tractor from the factory. Wish I had gotten it now.

I was there also, and have to agree that a 281 in a M is not that bad,you can build it that way anyhow. Is a D17 in a WD any worst. Whats in that bad 801 that won't die?

The pull is in Pageland off of rt 9. They only allow 8.5 mph for super because Dayrells Massy will only pull that fast

Hey Dave our slowest gear goes 9.5 mph, i guess that puts us out, and ottpa says that i have to pull gently but no one else does, because the sled our there tractors can't take it.

Well boys if that "bad" Minnie Mo or Detroit or whatever wants to pull and he's got the right tires, stock rpms, and stays under 3.5 mph I'll pull against him... With my old motor! Thought that speedometer was sposed to make it fair for the high school boy, and keep us all honest. Reckon not.

Let him pull it I'd put my MD against it any day. with the stock motor in it. I guess when you have more money than brains you can get what you want.
