Does anyone know the formula for figuring out compression ratio's? I want to know what I'll need to run for fuel. Thanks.

The compression ratio = combustion chamber volume + stroked volume/combustion chmaber volume. Take the head and apply a little petroleum jelly on the seats. Use a beaker or measuring cup to fill the combustion chamber to the top. Convert this volume to get the combustion chamber volume in cubic inches. The stroked volume = 3.1415 x bore diameter squared / 4 x stroke. So add those together and divide by the combustion chamber volume and you get compression ratio.

Cylinder volume divided by combustion chamber volume = compression ratio. Cylinder volume = 3.1416 times cyl. radius squared times stroke length. Combustion chamber must be cc'd to determine volume.

compression ratio is the volume at bottom dead center (cylinder and combusion chamber) divided by volume at top dead center. dome of the piston and volume of the combusion chamber can be changed to vary the ratio, without changing piston stroke. One way to do this is to fill the cylinder and combusion chamber in the head with fluid and measure it in a beaker. Crank the piston to top dead center and see how far down from "top deck" it is. This small volumn and the combusion chamber added together are divided into the bigger number (at bottom dead center).
