If Warren County is so good Mr. Adgent, then how come they only had 492 hooks last year and Bedford County had almost 1200 hooks?

I use to think the same thing until I went to an NTPA pull at night. don't guess they are real tractor pullers either.

Did you say still retired or still retarded. Come on down and see what Shelbyville has to offer. It will still be cool for a couple of months.

Here"s a suggestion..... ..why don"t BCATA just pull heavy to light classes every time. Then the ones who are complainig will pull at 10-11 0"clock. Which then they"ll complain about getting home too late. So other words you can"t have your cake and eat it too!!!!! As far as classes the club votes at the meetings about anything that goes on at that club. They have a class for everybody and not just certain one"s. By the way how many members does Warren County have? And how many BCATA meetings have you attended? Also Walker Texas Ranger doesn"t come on anymore....dummy"s. Those who would rather stay in the comfort of their own home can watch RFD TV on Sunday night at 8 o"clock and watch tractor pulling.....ha,ha,ha!!!

RETIRED, at the next meeting you make the motion and I will second it that they start their pull at 8PM. That way everyone (except maybe the heavy classes)will get to pull in the cool night time air. What few times that I have got to pull with them in the past it was after daylight when we got home. With an 8PM start time, I'll get home just in time for Sunday dinner. Just because your classes finish early, doesn't mean you have to go home. You could help with the pull or go to a bar or whatever. Then when you get home about mid-night you can still b!tch to your wife about how late the pull was. Also NTPA has afternoon pulls too.

RETIRED,
ALL THE PEOPLE IN BEDFORD COUNTY DO A GREAT JOB WITH THE PULL, I WOULD HAVE TO SAY IT IS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE BEEN TO! I'M SURE YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN TO A MEETING OR HELPED OUT WITH THE PULL! JUST BECAUSE YOUR TOO OLD TO HANDLE THE HEAT DOESN'T MEAN THE REST OF US CAN'T! I'M WITH SUPER LURKER ON THIS ONE MAYBE IF THEY START IT LATE ENOUGH ON SATURDAYS WE COULD HAVE A CHURCH SERVICE ON SUNDAY!!!!

Guys, I pull the heavy classes too, but there is no need start a pull at 11am. and fight the heat and the dust, when you could have just as much fun pulling half as many classes and starting later. I have been down to shelbyville last year. Why does a pull need 30 classes? I'm not the retarded one in this matter and I'm sure anyone who has pulled tractors for a number of years will agree with me. Every year I come down, I see less that club has to offer. It is ya'll club do with it what you wish.

ever pull in middle tn has 30 or more classes. bedford co. has their classes voted on each yr. by their members it was designed that way for more pullers across the south to pull maybe we need to vote you in as the pres. so we can pull your retarded classes and start at two o clock and be home at four o clock you need to have your on pull trophies are not cheap ins. is not cheap rent is not cheap and a good sled is not cheap

Eazy Boys, this is supposed to be a fun sport. There sure ain't no money made in it. I normally get there early and stay late, no matter what the start time is. When you haul as far as some of us do to pull, you want to hook as many times as the rules will let you. The rules, classes and the start time were voted on by the members present at the meetings. We had 3 meetings to decide this years rules, classes and start time. IF any of these cause a big enough problem, then a majority of members could vote to change it. We need the rules, etc. to last all of the 2005 pulling year. We don't need to be making major changes during the middle of the year. BUT if something is a big enough problem for a majority of the members, it can be changed. Don't throw stones on here. Work through the system, to have your concerns looked at. Crane

I would have to cast my best pull in Mid-TN vote to the warren county group. I have pulled with EVERY club in the area and they are about the only consistent club around. They have been pulling for 20+ years so the BCATA might need to look at their setup if they want to last that long. The BCATA use to have alot of things going for it but it seems that it has been on a slow train down in the past few years. I would suggest traveling the area a little before you claim the award. There is alot of people who are quick to claim the BCATA as the best club who very rarely pull anywhere else. That is just my opinion. My ph.# is 931-212-3602 and my email is c_adgent@yahoo.com just incase someone wants to throw stones at me.

It could be because we allowed one hook per tractor & pull less classes instead of allowing unlimited hooks per tractor. Sure is nice to pull in the cool-cool-cool of the evening & still be home in time to watch Walker Texas Ranger on the telly.

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THANK GOD WE LIVE IN AMERICA AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE RULES (WHICH WERE VOTED ON AND MAJORITY WINS) YOU DO HAVE THE OPTION TO GO PULL SOMEWHERE ELSE--I KNOW THAT THERE ARE A HANDFULL OF PEOPLE WHO WORK VERY HARD DAYS BEFORE THE PULL EVEN STARTS--AND THE SIMPLE FACT REMAINS THAT IF THE EARLIER TIME DOES NOT WORK OUT IT CAN BE VOTED ON NEXT YEAR TO BE CHANGED SO I WOULD SUGGEST BEING AT THE MEETING AND LET THE MEMBERS DO WHAT THEY FEEL IS BEST FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE PULLERS--NOT JUST THE WHINERS!
