Hey All! I'm looking for the HEI recureve kit that Chads has mentioned numerous times. The problem is that I'm in Ontario Canada and none of the auto parts stores have them. They nee to know the particular distributor it is for. I called a buddy who is a parts guy at a local GM dealership and he told me that they only way to get them is to buy the whole shaft. Anyway's, what I'm needing to find out is where can I get this kit or the springs out of it up here in Ontario Canada. Anybody have any idea's? I'd appreciate it.

Cheers!

Sid

Pick up a Hot Rod MAgazine and look for either a Summit Racing or a Jegs ad and give them a call they can fix you right up.

Do yall have NAPA Parts Stores up there? If you do go there and get a recure kit for a 1977 Chev Pickup 350 engine with HEI ignition distrubiture. That is the one I put on mine.

Yes we do have NAPA stores but according to a buddy of mine that works at one says that the NAPA stores in Canada have no wheres near the stock and availability the US NAPA stores have. Even if I give him a US NAPA part #, he can't get it. I have called all the automotive supply stores I can think of and I get nothing. Wish the US and Canada would learn to get along. Would like to know if anybody in Canada has done this mod and where they got the kit or springs from.

Cheers!

Sid

Its under 10 bucks for the recurve kit. I have an extra kit I could send you if you want. I was confused by Chads. I thought that he always said use the lightest springs but on one of his last posts I see that he said to use the medium ones. The kit consists of 3 different pairs of springs.

Thanks for the offer superih! I think I will take you up on it. My e-mail is open so please let me know where to send the money to. Would you have two of the kits? I'd like to put a kit in my '51 H and '52 Super M. So what spring did you end up using?

Cheers!

Sid
