Has anyone tried the aftermarket grills on there G. Just wondering how they fit. The grills I have are in pretty rough shape.

I bought a set off ebay. They fit great. I did take a little body putty to smooth up the top rounded edge, at the compound curves. The aftermarket grills are welded together here, and the curve was a little sharper than I thought it should be because of that. But other than that I was happy with them. 100% better than my old ones.

JLG.. I'm glad yours fit good.. I also bought mine off Ebay, and they fit like Crap... one's longer than the other.. the bars don't match up.. had to modify the nose cone to get one to fit... I'd buy a set again.. but not off ebay.. I'd buy them from the company so you could send them back if you didn't like them.. or they didn't fit... JDGnut

Wow, sorry to hear about your bad experience. I'm the only one I know of around here that has them, so I never heard from anyone else about fit. When they arrived, the box had a return address of Wilson Farms, (I think), it's whoever has them for sale in Green Magazine all the time.

Of course, my G is a little out of whack. The frame rails are about 1/4" ahead of where they should be. They were welded up pretty good at the crankcase when I bought it, looks like the frame might have been broken off at some time. So maybe those crooked grills were a perfect fit for a crooked tractor. HA.
