I saw the article about the back-on sled in Old Power Pride magazine. I was curious, was the tractor just backed on to the sled and the pull run like a dead-weight pull? Or was the tractor backed on to the first part of the sled and then advanced further on the sled as the sled went down the track? We would like to have a small local pull for the fourth of July celebration in our town. And this looks like an possibly inexpensive way to have a sled for our pull. Thank you for any information. Joel

Do you want pictures posted from the show this weekend or pictures that I have all ready put in the magazine?

Joel, The tractor was backed on as the sled was pulled down the track. It can be kind of hard to move, but it will stop you also. There is angle iron turned down and welded in the floor, for stops when the tractor backs on. That gives the back-on tractor around 6 positions. The back-on tractor also serves as the pull back tractor. There is no way to keep accurate score, but it's about the funniest pulling out there for stock tractors. The show and pull is this coming weekend. Let me know if you would like some measurements?
