Emergency shutdown system for the Turbo set up

Has anyone used this new system/is it required in your tractor pulling organization's. My understanding is, that it mounts to the turbo and is spring activated. There's a cable to pin setup that the driver can pull and /or a hookup attached to the sled that shuts the flow of air to the turbo in an emergency, but also gives the tractor better performance. it is more or less a velosity stack with the air shut off built into it.
some people swear by them and others hate them.
i know a couple of guys that put them on and for what they spent i don't think it was worth it,unless it is for looks only as they really look cool.
an air to water cooler is more effective if it is within the rules.
