Today was a great day! Little bit of sun, a few farmalls running round the yard, just crusin ya know!! Yesterday, i got teary eyed, when my girlfriend, asked if she could learn to drive My Super H around the yard for a while. 5 hours later,,,,, LOL she was excited to learn that she loved old tractors. So, today, I had a plan worked out for her. I got out an orange cone, set it inthe middle of the pasture, and showed her how to back the tractor up and line the drawbar perfectly up with the cone. I was shocked when it only took her 3 times and she had it perfectly lined up. I told her,, if that was a pullin sled, she would be hooked up and ready to pull!! Now,, she wants to drive in the tractor pull this weekend at Mentone. I made sure to tell her, there is alot more to it than just backing up to the sled or cone in this case,, lol,, she would have to expect the tractor to respond in mannors she mite never expect during the pull. she said, she aint scared! So, maybe tommorrow, with a bit more practice, she just mite get hooked to the sled and make her first pass down the track as a puller! Im excited, hope the weather holds out this weekend! Just had to share this with ya all! ChadS
