Wondering what speed limit in pulling is the balance between Hp and torque. with 3 mph being torque, and open class (15mph) being Hp. I'm thinking around 6 to 8 mph SS

Torque is part of the HP equation along with velocity/speed/rpms and the constant 5252. Are you talking about an engine with a flat or steep torque curve?

Just my opinion, speed has not a thing to do with it in general. The more hp and toque you have the faster you can go and hold it (holding the speed is the hard chore at hand). Each tractor will have there own sweet spot when it comes to speed. I could be wrong with this (as I have been wrong before), but this is how I see it. There is a saying that goes something like this, "HP will get you to there and torque keeps you there", something like that anyway
