Yes that can work. Its like regearing the tranny to a slower speed. Im not for sure if the C rims will go on the H cast hubs, Ive seen rims with tabs welded on the rim, then bolt to the cast centers, Ive even got a set of em,,, If, your 36 inch tire, is, or is about the same height as a 38 inch tire, you may not get much result, so watch the tire height. I dont like telling people the following,, cause, sometimes, good people can, and will say, "How come you chopped up such a nice tractor just to pull?" I say, cause its a pulling tractor! But, some, do see double duty, farm and pulling,, Now, on to the controversy,, LOL! Stock H's with relitivly stock engines, need to be lightened up. Too much weight to take advantage of the HP and torque that the stock H kinda lacks,,,, A good weight to shoot for is around 3500-4000lbs, The frame does pull better with the HP it already has,, at the lighter weight, and you dont have to do so much engine work. An H with cast wheels, no hyd, no weights can get down to 3700-3800lbs depending on the driver,, I see heavier H's pull all the time,, and they go down to the end of the track and die off to quick, then there is the H's that are lighter, and they have a better balance, and they dont stall out so easily. H's got potential, just have to figure out where it likes to be weighted for the HP you have. As far as modifications to the engine,, start off by running a compression test, that will tell you if you got some power hiding in there,,, if its 100 psi, to 125 psi, then there is not much hiding,, if it has 130-150, there is a few HP there, 150 and up youve got alot of hidden power there. Usually, the carb is locking the HP from comming out,, it is underjetted, and wont feed it enough fuel to fully take advantage of the full power of the engine,, its just set up to run in the fields all day long, and be economical to operate. Best advice to give you, is to run that compression test,,, see where your engine is,, you may have a bone stocker that has only 100 psi of compression, or, you may have a high compression gas engine that has good high readings. Post back with the compression test results, and then we can go from there as far as modifications you can choose to do. Hope this helps,, ChadS
