It's not hard to pull 50 HP out of a 30 and cost isn't bad. If you want a big cube screamer, it won't happen. Find a good machine shop, stroke the crank, bore the block, shave the head, and work the valve train and you'll be in the 50 HP area. Don't go crazy on the head just needs cleaned up. One thing to remember is you have some advantage already with gear speed and selection and to much HP takes that advantage away. The 30's are very competive unless you try to make it something it's not. Parts aren't hard to find with a little time spent on line. I know this was a quick overview and I hope it helps.

Get on the International Cockshutt Club website, you should be able to get in contact with people who can get you parts.
