Every brand has it"s advantages, we pull an Oliver 77 from 3500# up to 5500#, no aluminum, pressed steel wheels, wheely bars. Usually does best @ 4000#.

Cockshutt 30's are a good tractor for 4,000-5,000 classes, easy to balance and good gear selection. You can get into 3500 but does better 4,000 and up. You won't make a big cube screamer out of one but they do well and not everyone has one. If you are looking for a wd45 ready to pull I have one for sale. It's stock and ready to hook and I will sell for best reasonable offer. They also make a great puller.

If you take a look out there, you will see Minneapolis-Moline 335 tractors are really doing well. Parts are interchangeable with larger engines and they will balance well. They don't weight much, and they can take the extra power. I've been running MM small blocks around the house for years. GUTS!!!

Around these parts (east central Missouri, the Farmall Super C and AC WD 45 does well in local pulls. However, I'm betting that the tractor that pulls the best will depend largly on the rules of the pull.
