Looking at a small manifold how can you get a dremel or similar tool the whole way into it or is only the end important? what is a good cutting bit to use; a grinding stone on a dremel flex-shaft??

www.extrudehone.com

If you are serious about getting max flow from the externally stock looking intake/heads/exhaust then extrudehone is the only choice. Only the metal restricting flow is removed. Port volume & mixture velocity for ram effect & keeping air/fuel mixed is maintained. Peak HP & bottom end torque are both required. A home hogging out job can reduce HP. Unless you have a flowbench & a solid understanding of fluid dynamics, only matching ports & blending rough edges out of the valve bowl are safe.

This is a test, I figured it wouldn't bother anybody this far down on the board. Sorry if I bothered anybody--I just have never posted pictures before.

to over simplify it, extrude honeing is a process that pumps or pushes a slurry of abrasive material thru the intake manifold. thus removing material by abrasion.
