I traded this guy a "36 A for his "47 A 3 months ago. He called and said the crank broke and wanted me to take care of it. Keep in mind he had the tractor for 3 months before the crank broke. I hate that it happened but you can"t go back on somebody like that. You trade, buy, sell these tractor as is. It was a good tractor while I had it. It was a pullin son of buck. Just wanted everyone to know what the real story was.

If it was a good pulling tractor then answer this. Why when I took the tractor for a short spin then why did it have a knocking in the motor. and this was the same day that he brought it home. Because he called me and asked me to come take a look at his new puller. Also when I drove it around the block the flywheel wobbled and shook so bad that I thought that it was gonna explode underneath me. This was also about a month or maybe less before he even took it to the first pull using this tractor. Also please tell me why there was always a miss in the motor everytime after the tractor was started and got warmed up, as well as the constant oil leaks around the flywheel that left puddles on the garage floor. I think that this tractor was about half of what you said it was. I can tell you from knowledge that the 46 A was more than 3 times the tractor that you traded for it

Well, now that we know more of the story, I still don't see why he can't sell the 47A if he wants too(If he hasn't already sold it). What's the tied up in court stuff? Since you guys traded-- both of you must have agreed or it wouldn't have happened. Did you not drive each others tractor around and get a feel of it. How it started, how it ran, any knocks or weird noises. Again you must have agreed on the trade. From the ad I assume that the 47 doesn't have a stroker crank and from your earlier posts about breaking a crank, the 36 did. Not being use to a stroker did you warm it up before pulling? Did you open the petcocks when shutting it down, so that it wouldn't kick back and would coast to a stop. You have to baby those big JD strokers and not cause yourself problems. One last thing--you posted about breaking a 9.25 crank, but in his earlier ads wanting to sale the 36 he says it is a 5.75 x 9in. motor. What's the story on that? You trying to get him to pay for a crank that wasn't even in the 36 when you guys traded?

Just how do you expect A-Man to know of any problem(s), IF there was one at that point. Tractor pulling is like any other motorsport, you do it long enough and you are going to have an engine failure. I have been there and done that. No, I wasnt happy, but you have realize that $#it happens and then you put the thing back together and put it back on the track. Big cranks in Deere's break, some sooner than others (assuming they are made correctly in the first place). Did you have any kind of warrany in writing? If the tractor you traded to A-man grenaded right now, would YOU take care of it?
