looks to me like if he was so good on jd's he would known that their was something wrong with that 36 .but he didn't,an if k-chevy known their was something together they would not haven't pulled the tractor and call the other man an told before dummies broke the crank,if it is really broke.

To the best of my knowledge, I don't know either O,KSpuller or A-man. Several of us talked about this at the pull Sat. and from new posts over on page 3 and even earlier about looking for a crank. IF the 36A was anywhere near as bad as some say---why in the hell did you trade for it in the first place? Seems O,KS was sure eager to get rid of the 47A. If it was worth trading for, it must have been a hellofa trailer ride home for the 36A to be in such pitiful shape when it got there. Also, if it was knocking and miss firing as someone said it was when they ran it around the block---why did you pull it before checking it out better. What did you guys do--- run it around the block with the RPM wide open while standing on the brakes? If I had a tractor that was knocking so bad I was scared it might fly apart riding it around the yard---I damn sure wouldn't have pulled it before finding out what was wrong! There are several contridictions in the earlier posts. Did you pull the 36A 6 times or 4 times or one time when it broke? Did it completely destory the 36A as one post said or did you finally stop pulling it to see what the problem was? On the other end of this trade---the 47A must not have been 3 times what the 36A was or A-man wouldn't be wanting to sale it. Seems the 47A must not be all it cracked up to be either. The folks at the pull Sat. believe there is more to all of this than has been told and the post since then only add to the mystery. As was ask over on page 3 or 4 by now---If the 47A came apart on it's first hook or tenth hook or whatever, What would you have done about it O,KS? Without something in writing these old tractors are bought, sold or traded as is. You do the best you can do on either end of one of these deals, but sometimes SH!T HAPPENS and it's nobodies fault. Anything mechanical will break sooner or later. This was a bad trade that both parties, lost on. Someone should have had the guts to say NO if the tractors weren't what they were lead to believe they were. 3 months later is alittle late to decide I should have walked away from this trade.

nothin wrong with 47 a the man was looking for an 36 A he just felt like the guy lyed too him all in all he was just trying to make a point that A-MAN IS NOT BEING HONEST WITH PEOPLE.
o,kspuller will survive and we all know that the 36 will be a top place tractor . all were saying is A-MAN is not anywhere a tractor puller and if he was y didnt he keep the tractor sure looks like A-MAN was just looking for money o,kspuller keep his even if it broke in my opion u could"nt break that 47 LOL

give me your email and i will send you pics, and yes i traded to soon should of researched the tractor more, bad trade, the 47 was made to pull 3.5 mile an hour not up against 5 or more , tractor ran ok at the pulls i have 6 1st plases with it i should have never pulled it and check out the crank my fault, the crank was check when i took it out, by a R stanped welder and he said it was cracked already becase of the way the meatal was broken not toren, the welds were not poled into the crank jornals, looked like some bad welding on the cranks part the proublem with this crank was a proublem from the time it was instaled till now, cranks should not be wobling if so there is a proublem out of roundness , so as far a i am concerned is that we both should of not traded so soon, and the guy who did this crank need some more work on doing cranks, the guy i got the tractor from proubly didnt know about the crank and just pulled it he dosnt know much on john deeres not his fault, and yes if there was a proublem with that 47 a i would have made it right , and there was the msd box was burnt up and i replaced it for him, have a nice day mark

I guess what you are saying is that even smart people do stupid things. It sounds like you knew the crank/flywheel was wobbling when you got it. I woulda walked away and said "thank you very much" - I am sure your hindsight is just as good as mine. It sucks that the crank broke, but it isn't fair to fault the guy you bought it from since you knew it was wobbling and SOMETHING was wrong with it. I've dun things I regret too... Lesson learned.
