Angle cut rods

I am needing some info about some connecting rods.

I am looking for a rod that has the rod cap set on at a 45* angle rather than the standard 90* angle. I know Oliver used them in the 310 but I need one with a crank pin diameter of less than 2.00 inches.

Someone suggested the rods used in a Ford Courier pick up truck with the Mazda engine. The crank pin on it is only 1.79 or so. I feel this might be a little too small for a 6 inch stroke crank.

Your thoughts gentlemen?

Continental has a 2.06 approx. rod journal with canted cap. Deck height could me an issue? Is this a Oliver engine? these rods work but they are not strong enough to live at higher power levels.

Yes, rod strength has been an issue ever since I started the project.

I have a set of Cunningham rods but they are too thick on the big end. I had them machined by Gingrich (sp?) to reduce the thickness and they kept my original bolts and substituted an unknown bolt of unknown quality.
